Dr. Daniel Rubin was born and raised in the GTA. He graduated from York University with a Secialized Honours degree in Biology. He then continued his education, pursuing his interest in becoming a health care provider and graduating from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science in 2015. Dr. Rubin was the recipient of the RACH memorial award for demonstrating undefeatable courage, strength, perseverance and determination. During his final year of study, he completed various clinical internship rotations in and around the city of Toronto, including an ocular disease and therapeutics rotation focusing on retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. His optometric interests include ocular disease, pediatrics and contact lens fitting and care.
Dr. Rubin and his wife have two sons. When not spending time with his family, he enjoys playing music, acting, singing, and the outdoors. He looks forward to meeting and providing high quality eye care to patients of all ages.
